Retailers concerned over the future of electronic cigarettes may feel apprehensive about guessing where the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will land next.

The FDA’s most recent move came Oct. 12, when the agency said it sent 21 letters to companies concerning potential compliance issues on 40 products, including flavored electronic cigarettes.
