CHICAGO  Convenience stores looking to perk up the quality of coffee might consider leaning on a machine.

To make sure Panera Bread’s coffee is hot and fresh, the St. Louis-based fast-casual chain currently is using Miso Robotics’ CookRight Coffee technology in select locations. This artificial intelligence measures temperature, time, volume and more, predicting customer demand and informing employees when to brew a new batch.

CookRight Coffee, which Miso debuted in 2021, operates on a tablet connected to the coffee station.
