7-Eleven in late April devoted a day to an offbeat promotion encouraging customers to bring in a receptacle in which to dispense a Slurpee.

Fishbowls, pie tins, mason jars and football helmets were all considerations.

Bring Your Own Cup Day, held April 29, let customers fill the container with their favorite Slurpee for $1.99.

“We love seeing customers enjoy our products in fun ways, especially when it comes to our beloved, iconic Slurpee drink,” said Ben Boulden, 7-Eleven director of proprietary beverages. “From cowboy boot to fishbowl, the more creative the cup, the better. We can’t wait to see what our customers come up with this year.”
