Morris Petroleum and The Dutch Group jointly own Sprint Mart convenience stores in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi through Victory Marketing LLC. The companies also are involved in other businesses, including fuel distributor Victory Energy. Besides operating and supplying fuel to its own stores, the company is a jobber for about another 70 dealer sites.
In 2025, the chain shifted a handful of stores from company-operated to dealer locations, with the decisions being "site-specific, based on location, potential and long-term strategy," according to Matt Bogue, president of Dutch Oil Co. "We have been refining our business model over the past few years to large-format stores in prime locations with a focus on great food."
Innovative retailers will almost certainly enter the market and cause disruption, Bogue said, which means "older locations that do not or cannot adjust ... are left with a smaller piece of a shrinking pie."
Sprint Mart stores offer private-label packaged beverages in addition to national brands. Its foodservice program includes prepared items, such as burgers, pizza and barbecue; pre-packaged deli sandwiches; and its proprietary Best Bean coffee and Finish Line fountain drinks.
Its last acquisition was in 2021, when Sprint Mart acquired the assets of The Spencer Cos. Inc., Huntsville, Alabama, owner of 31 MinitMan Food Stores. The deal included several dealer locations, numerous unmanned cardlock facilities and fuel transportation assets.
For benchmarking purposes, store counts are as of Jan. 1, 2026.
