True North Energy operates truenorth, a regional chain of large-format convenience stores operating primarily in Illinois, Michigan and Ohio. In late 2021, Truenorth expanded into Wisconsin with its acquisition of 19 fuel and convenience stores and three unattended fueling locations from Titletown Oil Corp., primarily in the Green Bay market. The additional stores lifted the chain to No. 47 on this year’s Top 202 from 53 a year ago. The company strives to offer friendly and fast service in a clean, safe and modern environment. A large selection of grab-and-go food items are available, including sandwiches, wraps, yogurt, vegetables, and dip and fruit. The truebrew coffee station offers several freshly prepared pots of coffee, and the trueoasis fountain beverage station features soft drinks and frozen slushy drinks.
