United Pacific is based in Long Beach, Calif., and operates 511 gas stations and convenience stores, including 457 company-operated stores and 54 fee-operated locations, throughout Southern and Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado and Nevada. It offers motor fuel products under the 76, Conoco, Phillips 66, Shell and United Oil flags.
New York-based Fortress Investment Group created United Pacific from the purchases of United Oil Co. and Pacific Convenience & Fuels in 2015. United Pacific is now owned by SoftBank Group Corp., a Tokyo-based telecom holding company and investment firm that acquired it in 2017.
In 2021, United Pacific converted all its company-operated convenience stores to the Rocket brand, launched a new website and introduced third-party delivery services. With the recent rollout of the Rocket brand, United Pacific plans to introduce private-label products and roll out a rewards program delivered through the Rocket mobile app, the company said.
