In its part of the country, mainly West Virginia, GoMart is what people think of when they think convenience store. The customer base is working-class people employed in the timber, coal and natural-gas industries.
However, from locally made artisan products to WVU apparel and live bait, GoMart's competitive advantage is an extensive collection of unique products not found in other c-stores.
The chain continues to focus on remodeling existing stores, building new stores and acquiring new ones.
GoMart places importance on community support with contributions to such groups as West Virginia Children’s Home Society, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Relay for Life and Little League teams.
