United Dairy Farmers (UDF) aims to combine the nostalgia of an old-fashioned ice-cream parlor with the modern amenities of today’s convenience store. The regional chain specializes in its own ice creams and dairy products, which have been a favorite in the Cincinnati area for 70 years.
But UDF is much more than its name may imply—the chain offers a wide assortment of foods, beverages, pantry staples, convenience items and just about everything else a contemporary c-store and gas station would feature. United Dairy Farmers Inc., a private company, owns and operates the chain. It is in growth mode, opening three new stores in early 2016 and renovating 15.
