Meijer Gas Stations

Meijer is a major retailer with a large network of big-box supercenters, but also runs a considerable chain of gas stations and convenience stores. Most locations feature its retail outlets, gas stations and c-stores all on a single site. Meijer Gas Stations offer fuel as well as c-store services, including prepared food. Its convenience stores are often larger format and appear more like a mini supermarket with larger-than-average numbers of cooler doors and shelf space. Its facilities are known for being well-lit and clean.

Billed as “The Original Supercenter,” the company is also a member of Topco Associates, a privately held cooperative company that leverages the volume of its membership to offer private-label products. The company also owns and operates tunnel car washes.

Meijer's competitive advantage is its one-stop shopping for customers by having gas stations, c-stores and superstores connected through a single site.
