Dash In is one of four affiliates of the Wills Group and has been a leader locally in the redevelopment of facilities, franchise development and training, and convenience-store innovation. The Dash In stores operate in one of the toughest markets in the industry, led by Sheetz and Wawa, and including 7-Eleven, Farm Stores, High’s Dairy, Fas Mart, Miller Oil and Crown. That means, generally speaking, that fuel margins are thin, cigarette sales are even thinner and demand for quality is high.
There are 65 Dash In locations throughout Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. The majority of stores are in Maryland, with 15 in Delaware and eight in Virginia. The company operates one site and the rest are franchises.
Foodservice is a focal point for Dash In stores. Newest stores offer self-serve grill bars with breakfast sausages, bratwursts and hot dogs. Made-to-order sandwiches also are available. Dash In defines convenience as all about speedy service, value and quality products. The chain continues to target the female shopper, emphasizing an open layout, cleanliness and bright lighting. About half of the stores are full-size c-stores, and the rest are canopy-kiosk style outlets.
The chain’s 66th site is scheduled to open in late winter 2016.
