In 2017, Canastota, N.Y.-based Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes became part of San Antonio-based CST Brands, which was subsequently purchased by Canada’s Alimentation Couche-Tard. The Nice N Easy fuel brand’s price differential in 2017 was only about 0.56 CPG below its market competition; instead, the chain pulled in gallons mainly thanks to its local grocery store appeal in many of the communities it served. The stores are rebranding to Couche-Tard’s Circle K fuel brand.
