Founded more than a half-century ago as a Gulf distributorship by F.E. “Gene” Rhodes, the Rhodes Cos. (proprietor of Rhodes 101 Stops convenience stores of Cape Girardeau, Mo.) has built a strong extension from traditional gas stations to convenience stores.

Rhodes became the first c-store chain in southeast Missouri to join Orion Food Systems and Chester’s Fried, and it was among the pioneers in the c-store channel to introduce drive-up windows at most of its locations.

Motorists can use Rhodes 101 Advantages rewards program, through which every gallon of gasoline purchased nets 10 fuel credits, and 600 fuel credits earn customers $1 off any purchase at a Rhodes 101 store.
