Delek U.S. Holdings Inc./Mapco was formed in 2001 when it acquired 198 retail gasoline and convenience stores from a subsidiary of The Williams Cos. Since that time, the company has grown through acquisition.

A division of Delek U.S. Holdings Inc., Mapco operates stores under the names Mapco Express, Mapco Mart, East Coast, Fast Food and Fuel, Favorite Markets, Delta Express and Discount Food Mart. The retail segment supplies fuels and merchandise throughout the network of stores. Stores vary widely across the chain due to the way the company has grown through acquisition. All new stores in 2013 and beyond are a 5,000-square-foot format.

Private label is a key initiative for the Mapco stores. Having represented multiple fuel brands in the past, Mapco is moving to almost exclusively selling private-label fuel as of 2013, with a few stations offering Marathon and BP.
