Winner of a CSP 2014 Design Award, Vintners is a jobber/retailer with a total network of 200 locations, including 124 company-operated.
Long branded Shell and Chevron, the company rolled out an elegant new brand called Loop in 2013 and opened the first few Loop Neighborhood Markets in the Bay Area. About half of Vintners’ stores include car washes, such an important feature that company top executive Varish Goyal states, “We wouldn’t build a new location without one.”
On the foodservice front, the company still is seeking out its niche and has tested a variety of products. Merrychef ovens were added in some stores to prepare pizza, chicken wings, slammers and other hot foods. All locations feature fountain beverages and coffee, which is provided by West Coast Coffee Co.
On the fuel front, Vintners is bolstered by 24 fuel tankers and, in addition to carrying either the Shell or Chevron banner, many locations also feature diesel fuel.
