Kwik Trip Inc. operates Kwik Trip, Kwik Star (in Iowa) and Kwik Trip Travel Center locations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa, plus 39 Tobacco Outlet Plus locations and three Hearty Platter full-serve restaurants. The La Crosse headquarters are at the center of a 300-mile radius market area that Kwik Trip serves.
Kwik Trip is known for its employee loyalty and retention, with a benefits package that includes profit sharing. The company opened an on-site health services clinic at its headquarters for its more than 3,000 employees.
Kwik Trip stresses groceries in its stores, rather than focusing on the fuel side of the business. The vertically integrated chain controls costs and quality by producing and packaging its own items, from doughnuts and coffee to milk. Each store gets fresh items delivered daily.
