CEFCO Convenience Stores

CEFCO Convenience Stores divested some of its older, acquired stores in 2022 and focused its growth on new-to-industry CEFCO Kitchen locations, the company said. This included divesting 50 of its company-operated petroleum marketing and convenience stores in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and Alabama. Its store count dropped from 230 at the end of 2021, to 201 at the end of 2022.

In 2021, CEFCO completed several technology upgrades. It launched web-based pay-at-the-pump capabilities using its digital wallet in partnership with Stuzo. The new capability enables CEFCO Rewards members to securely purchase fuel and car washes via a fast and frictionless web experience, using the CEFCO digital wallet and payment method of their choice. CEFCO also launched new self-ordering kiosks with technology from software company Reji and the Austin model from Olea Kiosks in two of its Texas-based CEFCO Kitchen locations.
