Transit Energy Group is a retail and wholesale fuel distribution and convenience-store business operating 135 convenience stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee under the Corner Mart, Dixie Mart, Flash Market, Market Express and Rose Mart banners. It is a privately held c-store and wholesale fuel company in the Southeast that buys and invests in convenience stores with family histories and long-term presence in their communities.
This will be Transit's final appearance on the Top 202. GPM Investments announced in 2022 that it would acquire Transit Energy Group, and the deal was completed in early 2023 for $370 million plus the value of inventory.
