Parker Oil operates in southern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, providing various energy-related products and services.
The company owns and operates Parker Oil and Propane stores, along with two Simmons Travel Centers, which offer a drivers' lounge and a general store with a gift shop featuring local souvenirs, a deli with hot and cold sandwiches and Huddle House restaurants.
Parker Oil also franchises stores to local operators. The company represents Exxon with 36 stores, including the two travel centers, 17 CITGO stores and 15 unbranded sites. It is converting 20 stores to Marathon. Besides running its convenience stores, the company operates eight bulk plant stores for gas, some oil and propane and installs and services heating and cooling systems. It also owns the First Energy Corp. terminal facility in Richmond, Virginia; Parker Fuel Freedom card; 13 bulk plant locations; and an underground-storage-tank closure company known as Environmental Management Services.
