This Pacific Northwest regional convenience chain, located mostly around Portland, Oregon, dates to 1963 and offers a variety of convenience items, beverages, expanded craft beer selection, local wines and fresh foods at value prices. It aims to be an easy-to-get-to, bicycle-friendly neighborhood corner store.

The c-store chain serves the neighborhoods in which it operates with a specialized assortment focusing on favorite indulgences to local offerings and better-for-you options. The team challenges itself each year to remain relevant with what customers seek while continuing to offer "Plaid-Tastic" deals customers can appreciate.

Plaid Pantry in September 2022 announced it raised $182,194 for its two charity partners, Sunshine Division and SOLVE, during its July Project C.A.R.E.S campaign. The 2022 campaign raised over $50,000 more than its first-year campaign, for a two-year total close to $312,000.

Plaid Pantry in 2022 also continued its annual charity campaign, which started five years ago over a dinner conversation with store managers reimagining a more impactful way to give back to its communities. By the end of the dinner, store managers had narrowed down and voted on six local nonprofit organizations to help. With the support of customers and vendor partners, Plaid Pantry has raised more than $420,000. The charities it supports are Portland Youth Builders, Rose Haven, Morrison Child and Family Service, Northwest Human Services, Turtle Ridge Wildlife and Helping Hands.
