Summerwood Partners operates Big Red convenience stores and three Family Market grocery stores in central Arkansas towns of Malvern, Shannon Hills and Pangburn. It targets blue-collar workers and places an emphasis on its aggressive store promotions,

Valero-branded across the network, the company is also a wholesale fuel distributor of Valero fuels to various accounts. All but two locations sell gasoline, about half sell diesel and select locations operate car washes. Services vary from location, with many offering coffee, drinks, snacks, movie rentals, propane, ice and basic groceries. Branded foodservice includes Baskin-Robbins, Pizza Pro, McDonald’s, Hardee’s and Burger King.

The chain is known for its “Big Monday” campaign, in which customers can buy premium gasoline for the price of mid-grade and mid-grade for the price of regular.

The chain runs other in-store promotions around Big Monday, including deals on deli, ice cream and other snacks. Customers can also receive discounts on fuel purchases when using their Valero card or buying a car wash.
