In April 2018, Petr-All Petroleum Corp. signed an agreement to sell its 78 Express Mart sites to Speedway LLC. These stores are located primarily in the Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo markets in New York. Speedway expects to rebrand all sites after closing on the purchase in third-quarter 2018.
Petr-All Petroleum is a family-owned business based in Syracuse, N.Y. It franchises several of its Express Mart locations and owns the rest. Express Mart’s competitive advantage includes partnerships with high-profile quick-service restaurants and an array of retail offerings in foodservice and beyond.
Express Mart uses Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to connect with customers. An email marketing program called Express Mail offers information on promotions, giveaways, contests and discounts. The company also supports many community organizations, including Educational Alliance, St. Jude’s Hospital, MDA, Salvation Army and Children’s Miracle Network.
