The biggest news for Brewer in 2018 was the addition of a food truck. The Albuquerque, N.M., chain, which has 37 stores around the state, expresses its heritage in the friendly attitudes and Southwest cuisine served to customers. Danita Vigil, operations and marketing manager, said the chain’s burritos are a local favorite, made with certified New Mexico green chiles. Several locations are called Grill, serving meals and snacks made fresh in the store’s kitchen. With the addition of the food truck, Brewer Oil can now take its popular foods to customers at work sites and community events.

Brewer also offers fresh-cut and packaged seasonal fruits and vegetables daily, handmade salads and sandwiches on a Cuban roll.

Brewer Oil Co. opened its first service station in Artesia, N.M., in 1958. More than 50 years later, the Brewer family continues to serve fuel and convenience-store customers, as well as wholesale and retail fuel customers throughout New Mexico. Brewer has 37 convenience stores in 13 communities, as well as commercial operations in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Artesia and Carlsbad. Fuel brands are Shell and Chevron.
