Martin & Bayley Inc. operates Huck’s, a chain of large-format convenience stores in Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee. The Martin and Bayley families sold the company to employees in 2001, making it a 100% employee-owned company.

The stores offer a wide variety of groceries, freshly prepared hot foods and other convenience items in a clean and vibrant environment. Fried chicken, Godfather’s pizza, hot dogs, Bigg Subb and Quiznos sandwiches and other foods are available to customers 24 hours a day, along with a large selection of Daybreak premium coffees and frozen and cold soft drinks from the chain’s branded Bigg Swigg fountain beverage program.

The chain differentiates its stores from competitors by offering brands and new products that few competitors sell, such as oil, bacon, fried chicken and wine under private-label brands.

In 2018, the company promoted Murat Tokad from executive vice president to president of Martin & Bayley following the departure of CEO Todd Jenney, who had held the role since 2007 and left to spend more time with his family.
