The Carioca Co. Inc.

The Carioca Co. manages restaurants and gas stations throughout Arizona and Nevada and has more than 1,000 employees. Most of its gas stations are branded Shell, with a few unbranded locations. Stores are geared to meet the typical c-store customer’s needs, with fuel, grab-and-go snacks and beverages from the fountain or cooler. Stores focus mostly on single-size servings of snacks and candy but also carry a limited number of grocery and health and beauty care items. Foodservice options are limited to self-serve and quick-service restaurants, such as Subway and Little Caesar’s. Locations offer large, brightly lit canopies with up to 18 pumps. Some stores are open 24 hours, and a few have a conveyor car wash. Carioca Co. has been in business since 1972.
