Energy North Group oversees a collection of c-stores in New England and New York that operate under a variety of banners, including Clipper Mart, Fresh Express, Energy to Go, Haffner’s and Energy North. In April 2019, the company purchased four Mobil-branded stations in Ashland, Manchester, New Hampton and Plymouth, N.H.; the Groton Exchange (now Haffner’s brand) in Groton, Mass.; Ayer Oil in Ayer, Mass.; Jenkins Oil in Elliot, Maine; and a Gulf-branded station in Winthrop, Mass. The car wash is in Littleton, Mass., and the property is in Haverhill, Mass. All were purchased from undisclosed sellers.

Attributes common across the chain include a focus on freshness as well as drawing traffic with food and convenience instead of fuel. Energy North Group’s primary business is wholesale fuel. Retail operations consist of c-stores, fuel kiosks and car washes.
