KenJo Markets, owned by Downey Oil, operates in 12 counties in Tennessee. At the end of 2018, the chain operated 38 stores after one station closed in the past year. All company-operated, the stores sell Mobil, Exxon, Marathon, CITGO and Shell fuel. A variety of fast-food companies also own and operate franchises in co-branded locations with KenJo Markets. These include Fasco Foods with Buddy’s Bar-B-Q, TCBY Treats, Pizza Inn and Blimpie Subs and Salads. Harco Foods operates a Hardee’s, and a couple of stores feature Charley Biggs Chicken.

KenJo Markets aggressively recruits store personnel and offers extensive training and incentive programs, along with other benefits and opportunities for advancement. Members of the company’s customer loyalty program, KenJo Rewards, receive instant discounts, free merchandise and points that can be redeemed for merchandise or fuel discounts.
