Serving the Phoenix and surrounding Maricopa County region since 1972 with a workforce exceeding 1,000, The Carioca Co. manages restaurants and fueling stations throughout Arizona and Nevada, with most branded Shell and a few unbranded. Stores are geared to meet the typical c-store customer's needs, with fuel, grab-and-go snacks and beverages from the fountain or cooler. Stores focus mostly on single-size servings of snacks and candy but also carry a limited number of grocery and health and beauty care items. Foodservice options are limited to self-serve and quick-service restaurants, such as Subway and Little Caesar's. Locations offer large, brightly lit canopies with up to 18 pumps. Some stores are open 24 hours a day, and a few have conveyor car washes.
