Operating the Astro chain of convenience stores across Oregon and Washington markets, WSCO Petroleum debuted with 16 locations in 1970 when founded by R.W. Dyke. Currently, it has grown into one of the largest-volume independent petroleum distributors in the Pacific Northwest, with stores, car washes and a workforce of more than 400. WSCO distributes unbranded fuel complemented by Chevron, Shell, Phillips 66, Texaco and Valero branded products at certain sites. With 37 retail locations, the company also operates 12 company-owned gas facilities that are consigned sites located on leased land and operated by third-party commissioned operators in conjunction with their convenience stores.

The wholesale division of WSCO Petroleum supplies fuel to a multitude of independently owned and operated retail fuel sites, and conducts business with a network of other distributors, most representing other brands. All operate alongside WSCO within its active market areas. Western Hyway Oil, WSCO's transportation subsidiary, operates 12 modern petroleum transport units throughout Oregon and Washington.

For benchmarking purposes, store counts are year-end 2019.
