Jolley Stores

A subsidiary of S.B. Collins that distributes Mobil, Irving, Shell, Valero and Gulf fuel products to retailers and businesses in Vermont, New York and New Hampshire, Jolley Associates owns and operates 45 Short Stop and Jolley stores units. Locations are primarily based in Vermont, with fewer than a half dozen each in New Hampshire and New York. Most facilities are branded Short Stop, and newer stores project earth tones and offer larger bathrooms_all in an effort to appeal to female shoppers.

The company's motto, "Your Daily Smile," is a reminder to provide customers with an optimal buying experience, as associates strive to give customers "their daily smile" through high-level customer service. The organization offers an array of foods and beverages, and recently expanded its beer cave and wine cellar at its Ferrisburgh, Vt. location. The company supports the Muscular Dystrophy Association and raises money for the charity in its stores each year.
