Keith's Superstores

In the spirit of self-service empowerment, Keith's Superstores—a chain with 43 locations in southern Mississippi—is well known as a local venue where customers can make their own milkshakes, fruit smoothies and iced coffees—plus order center-of-the-plate foods culled from the likes of fried fish, pork chops, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, country vegetables, cobblers, whole or slice pizza and any fountain drink size for 79 cents. Keith's also offers a novelty shop where Mississippi-made specialty items are merchandised, such as quilts, sunglasses, beach hats/bags, arrow heads, toy cars, trinkets and locally handcrafted jewelry. On the consumable side, Keith's is well known for a complete line of locally made specialties, such as preserves, syrups, honey, quail eggs, jar veggies, salsa and cider vinegar. Its "Roar" rewards program is offered as a loyalty mechanism that's well received.

Company roots trace to 1967 when it operated as Hattiesburg 66 Oil Co. and then Big K Oil Co. before Keith's Superstores debuted in 1996. In addition to its retail operation, the company operates a wholesale petroleum and transportation business within the three-state region of Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana. In May 2018, Keith's acquired 12 fueling stations and convenience stores in the southern Mississippi coastal region from Burns Oil Co.
