The more than 100 stores owned and operated by 7-Eleven Stores of Oklahoma are the only independently owned stores that carry the 7-Eleven brand, thanks to a special arrangement made in 1953 between owner William "Bill" Brown and the 7-Eleven Inc. corporation. The Oklahoma stores are neither licensees nor franchisees of the national chain, but are totally independent.

The 7-Eleven Stores of Oklahoma differ slightly from the national chain, mostly in terms of its foodservice product line. For example, instead of selling the Slurpee, the company sells its signature Icy Drink. The Oklahoma stores also have their own bakery called Seventh Heaven. Most of the stores sell fuel, and all sell beer and wine and have ATMs and financial services such as check cashing and money transfers.

The company also has its own full-service distribution center known as DistribuQuik, along with MovieQuik, a proprietary movie-rental operation.
