First Coast Energy LLP was founded in Jacksonville, Fla., in 1997. The company owns, operates or distributes Shell gasoline to 196 stations and stores in Florida and southeast Georgia. Its large c-stores are called Daily's, located throughout Northern Florida, from Jacksonville to Miami, with the greatest concentration of stores in Jacksonville. The 42 Daily's-branded stores are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The company added 14 new Daily’s-branded stores primarily in south Florida in 2014.

According to Trey Byrd, marketing manager, “think of Daily's Dash as a Panera in a c-store.” Everything is made fresh with the best ingredients. The company plans to rebrand and refresh all their existing stores with the Daily's Dash brand. The company also has 75 dealer locations that are leased out; these locations agree to abide by Shell operations but operate the c-stores independently. Main competitors include 7-Eleven, RaceTrac, Hess, Gate Petroleum, Chevron and The Pantry.
