The retail arm of Fikes Wholesale Inc., CEFCO Convenience Stores is a rapidly growing network servicing six states.
In recent years, CEFCO has been very active in both growing and pruning its portfolio, including plans to finish 2014 with as many as 12 new ground-ups. The company plans to build 16 new prototype stores of 5,000 square feet, including four opened in 2014.
On the food front, Texas foodservice distributor Labatt services CEFCO stores. Locations in Texas feature Fresh Eats delis, which have flat grills and pressure cookers to prepare corn dogs, taquitos, burritos, chicken strips, hamburgers, fries, breakfast burritos and Texas Toast sandwiches.
There are 16 Subways, three Hunt Bros. Pizza and one store has a Kolache Factory bakery. CEFCO features Huddle House restaurants in some new stores. Stores have fresh-prepared sandwiches called the Scooter, with breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings.
