A fourth-generation, family-owned business, Krist Oil Co. operates 80 convenience stores across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. All locations are owned and operated by the Krist Oil Co. and have been rebranded Krist Food Mart, replacing the former brand of CITGO Quik Food Mart.
Krist Food Mart stores are 4,000 square feet or larger and serve a mix of commuters and neighborhoods.
The chain generally remodels three to four stores a year. Nearly half a dozen remodels were completed in 2014, and there are plans for a similar number in 2015. There are plans for two new stores in 2015. Two new stores were opened in 2014.
